gaim-extendedprefs software package provides plugin for the instant messenger pidgin (transitional package), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gaim-extendedprefs
gaim-extendedprefs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gaim-extendedprefs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gaim-extendedprefs *
You will get with gaim-extendedprefs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
